Founder, Versant Cricket Gear
Former India U-19 International & Professional Cricketer
Taruwar Kohli is an Indian cricketer and co-founder of Versant Sports. Born in Jalandhar, Punjab, he comes from a BAS-Vampire (Beat All Sports) family—his father, Sushil Kohli, being one of the partners and a Dhyan Chand Award winner and former international swimming and water polo champion.
Taruwar rose to fame in the 2008 ICC Under-19 World Cup, scoring crucial knocks including a match-winning 63 not out in the quarterfinal against England. He also finished as the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament. He was part of the Rajasthan Royals squad that won the inaugural IPL title in 2008, and also played for Kings XI Punjab in 2009.
A consistent domestic performer, he has scored two triple centuries and over 4500 first-class runs, along with 74 wickets. He has represented Punjab and Mizoram, and has played for India U-19 and IPL franchises.
Having played cricket my whole life, through Versant I want to give back to the game that shaped me. Post-cricket, he co-founded Versant Sports, a performance-focused cricket gear brand, with fellow cricketer Abhinav Rathour—dedicated to nurturing the next generation of athletes.
